Take the Biggest Loser Challenge Yourself!

If you didn't make the TV show, then now is your chance to make it happen. Eat right, get active, lose weight, and live great. Avoid some doctor visits and the death traps associated with unneccessary weight. Take charge of your health and your life! You CAN do it, you are not alone. This event provides the tools, the people and the knowledge you need. WE (local gyms, fitness trainers, nutritional educators and the church) are here to help !

In an effort to promote fitness and well being, Grace Community Church of Madison County is hosting a 12 week Biggest Loser Weight Loss Challenge open to all adults who are overweight but otherwise healthy.

Participants are encouraged to use a variety of both indoor and outdoor physical activities to increase personal fitness levels. Confidential weigh ins will be conducted weekly by authorized personnel to ensure accuracy and fairness. Everyone will compete on a team, but you don't have to have a team before signing up. We can pair singles up with others to form teams of two or more, and each week the team to lose the most combined weight loss percentage will be declared the Weekly Winner. Teams encourage accountability, support, sportsmanship, and make for good old fashioned fun. At the end of 12 weeks, there will be a Grand Prize Winning Team, a Second Place Winning Team, AND 2 individual Grand Prize winners.

Are you up to the Challenge?

Then take the next steps:

1. Find $25 - ( look under sofa cushions, in your car, sacrifice your lunch or coffee money, check your pockets, and roll some coin if necessary - it will be worth it! )

2. Form a team of 2 or more - Grab a friend, family member, co-worker, or neighbor. This is your new workout buddy (group hug) - so hold them accountable to trimming the tummy and brainstorm a team name together.

3. Talk it up! Tell your other friends about this event and challenge them to compete as well. In fact, DOUBLE DARE "EM.
HINT: The more people who enter ... the bigger the prize fund! $$$$$

4. Fill it out. Registered participants are required to sign the liability waivers and medical release forms in order to participate. ( You know, the FINE PRINT stuff. ) Print these out after you register online, and bring these with you to the Kickoff weigh in on 1/31/09. (Extra blank forms will be provided at Kickoff incase your printer or pen is out of ink. Sorry, no free pass on this.)

Healthy weight loss event for community participation based loosely around the popular reality TV show, but organized in a 2 person team format.
